Steuben Burger Trail logoSteuben County, NY — When it comes to iconic foods, it probably doesn’t get more American than a hamburger. Inspired by a few particular mouth-watering burgers they had enjoyed, the Steuben County Conference and Visitors Bureau team wondered if others felt the same way they did about this American classic. So they asked. And folks responded. It seems, everyone loves a great burger. After 2,637 individual votes (people could only vote once per device), the CVB learned there are over 65 different restaurants throughout the county (we’re talking small local businesses, not fast food franchises) that feature a burger someone loves.

In some aspects, burgers have come a long way since the first ground beef sandwich was offered back in the 1800s. In other ways, these relatively modest meat patties have remained pretty true to their humble origins. Some folks prefer them unadorned, while others want all the fixing. Some like them grilled, others cooked over an open flame, and others fried in a pan. Of course, some folks don’t want any meat at all, but still enjoy black bean burgers and other alternatives.

A burger from Butcher's SonThe Steuben Burger Trail’s Top 10 Fan Favorite Burger Joints include long-standing go-to burger joints, restaurants with a nostalgic feel and great food, as well as brand new establishments garnering a lot of attention for their creative flavorful cuisine. While Corning and Bath both had three spots land on the Top 10, Canisteo, Prattsburgh, Addison, and Hornell each had one fan-favorite.

After receiving all those votes, the CVB was able to identify the Steuben Burger Trail Top 10 Burger Joints which appear below in order (with Butcher’s Son coming out on top).
