Dumbo DropNinth Annual Dumbo Drop Events Take Place at 5pm and 7pm on Washington Street in Dumbo

Dumbo,​ ​Brooklyn (April 21, 2026)​ — Brooklyn’s flying elephant fundraising spectacle, the annual Dumbo Drop, is back on Friday, May 29, 2026 with two drops at 5pm and 7pm of thousands of parachuting toy elephants from the rooftops surrounding Washington Street, the borough’s most iconic block.

Tickets, priced starting at $18.75, include a souvenir toy elephant, a guaranteed spot to view the Drop on the block of car-free Washington Street between Front Street and Water Street, and an entry into that Drop’s prize sweepstakes with a chance to win major neighborhood prizes. Drops are ticketed separately. All individuals ages 2 and older are required to purchase a viewing ticket to witness the Drop. Doors open at 3:30pm for the 5pm Drop, and at 6:00pm for the 7pm Drop.

Ticket holders also have access to a lineup of extra fun on car-free Washington Street: a live set by The Jelly on the Main Stage, a flash mob dance party hosted on the LifeTime Stage, a photobooth with free commemorative prints, a Drop-themed craft for kids and kidults with Creatively Wild, lego fun with Brooklyn Bridge Parents, give aways, and Restaurant Row (with tastes priced $7).

Prizes for winners include: a 6-month membership to Life Time gym ($5,000 value); a $500 Gift Card and Free Design Services at M Collection Home + Design ($1,500 value); a table setting for six from Fishs Eddy ($500 value); a two-night stay in a Dumbo King room with a view of the city, plus a $200 Dining Credit, at 1Hotel in Brooklyn Bridge Park ($1,800 value); and a summer pass for three months of theatre, comedy, and music with at The Rat ($1,500 value).

Proceeds from the #DUMBODROP support Dumbo’s Title 1 public schools, PS307 Elementary and The Dock Street Middle School.

Each year’s elephants feature a uniquely designed parachute by a neighborhood artist. This year’s parachute is designed by Christian Vera.
