Opening plans and early summer bookings are now underway for three destination-driven hotels debuting in Montauk, Sag Harbor, and Greenport from celebrated New England-based hospitality group Blue Flag Capital, in partnership with Collared Martin Hospitality
New York, NY (March 24, 2026) — A trio of new boutique hotels is headed to the East End this season from Blue Flag Capital, the hospitality group behind a popular collection of hotels on Nantucket and Martha’s Vineyard, and Collared Martin Hospitality, Blue Flag’s in-house management company. Reservations are now open for Hotel Corduroy in Montauk and Faraway Sag Harbor, while Oyster Estate reservations will soon open.
Hotel Corduroy will be the first property to open this May in Montauk with a relaxed Lawn gathering space just steps from Sunset Beach, while Faraway Sag Harbor is set to debut on the waterfront in June with multiple indoor and outdoor dining venues and an expansive pool terrace. Over on the North Fork, Oyster Estate will arrive in Greenport this September centered around a courtyard pool and vibrant bar and dining scene, all offering new spots for weekend getaways, staycations, and hosting out-of-town friends.
At the helm, Eric Freitas-Orford, a New York–based hospitality leader, joins as Managing Director, New York. Most recently General Manager of The Twenty Two New York, Eric has built his career around opening and elevating design-forward lifestyle properties, bringing a guest-first approach to each of the East End hotels.
“We’re excited to introduce locals and travelers to three distinct hospitality experiences on the East End this season,” said Eric Freitas Orford, Managing Director, New York. “Our goal is for these properties to truly become part of the communities in which they have always belonged, honoring what’s come before while evolving into something new. We look forward to bringing our high touch hospitality to the East End and becoming a foundation for our guests to create loved memories.”
Known for thoughtfully restoring beloved properties, Blue Flag brings a strong sense of place to each destination. Across Montauk, Sag Harbor, and Greenport, both travelers and locals can look forward to overnight stays, poolside afternoons, and destination-worthy dining, including the following:
Hotel Corduroy
The first Blue Flag property to open outside of Martha’s Vineyard and Nantucket, Hotel Corduroy will open on the edge of Montauk this May. Originally built in 1983 and reimagined for today’s modern traveler, the intimate, high-design retreat, formerly the Sunset Montauk, is being transformed by Blue Flag in collaboration with interior design firm, Ward + Gray, to reflect the area’s surfing heritage and laid-back creative spirit with 29 rooms and a small lobby retail shop. The Lawn, an expansive outdoor gathering space, will serve as the heart of the three-building property. For reservations and more information on Hotel Corduroy, visit www.thehotelcorduroy.com
Faraway Sag Harbor
Debuting this June on the Hamptons waterfront, the Faraway brand, with beloved locations on Nantucket and Martha’s Vineyard, will arrive out East. Featuring 67 rooms and suites, Faraway Sag Harbor is a reimagination of the iconic Barron’s Cove, which will offer a new luxury experience with a lobby lounge, covered porch, and lush patio conceived as the heart of the hotel. The hotel’s F&B venues will be true standout destinations for locals and visitors alike, including Zagara, the signature Amalfi Coast-inspired restaurant, in addition to a ground-floor bar and lounge, while a pool and terrace, gym, and private dining room for intimate events will complete the property. Designed in collaboration with Jenny Bukovec Studio, interiors will draw inspiration from Sag Harbor’s maritime history and whaling heritage, introducing moments of curiosity and discovery throughout the property – a signature of the Faraway ethos. Oyster Estate
Over on the North Fork, Oyster Estate will debut as a reimagined 34-key boutique hotel in the heart of Greenport Village. An extensive renovation of the Greenporter, a brand new courtyard pool and patio will serve as the focal point and social hub of the property, complemented by Fortune Favors, a vibrant onsite cocktail bar and dining destination, alongside a gym and dedicated meeting space, further elevating Greenport’s growing boutique hotel scene. Designed in collaboration with ISLYN Studio, the hotel draws inspiration from Greenport’s working waterfront roots and surrounding farms and vineyards, embracing the village’s creative spirit through the thoughtful incorporation of found local objects and layered design details. Each distinct boutique will introduce a new chapter in Long Island’s dynamic hospitality scene. Alongside these New York arrivals, Blue Flag will also be bringing the Faraway brand to Jackson Hole this June, marking their first opening in the Western U.S. Founded with a mission to rediscover the soul in hospitality, Blue Flag combines strategic real estate stewardship with immersive brand creation, supported by distinct design, sensory guest experiences, and operational expertise through their in-house management company, Collared Martin Hospitality.
