Rootstock Cider & SpiritsTo Support Public Health Officials and Other Frontline Professionals

Wayne County, N.Y. - Rootstock Cider and Spirits has deep roots in Wayne County, and wants to support the community that has been so great to us over the last eight years. We have switched our distillery operations to the creation of hand sanitizer in order to support our community and all essential employees that are most at risk from COVID-19. We are going to be releasing our initial batch of hand sanitizer in the next couple of days to those most in need in Wayne County and will expand distribution as we are able to attain supplies from our vendors.

This is a difficult time for all of us, and the best way to get through it is to come together and work to mitigate the damage caused by this virus and "flatten the curve". We will be offering our hand sanitizer at cost so that we can continue to keep distillery operations going during this time. We will continue to evaluate the situation as it evolves and we get more guidance from our state and federal governments.

We would like to give a special thanks to Chris Carlsson of SpiritsReview.com for helping source many of the materials, and to Waterloo Container and Niagara Label for going above and beyond to make sure we had what we needed to bottle and distribute our hand sanitizer in a timely manner.

About Rootstock Cider and Spirits

Rootstock Cider and Spirits is a Farm Distillery and Cidery in Wayne County, New York's largest apple growing county and the second largest apple-growing county in the country. It was started by Dave DeFisher, the fourth generation of DeFisher to grow fruit in northern Wayne County. Its location in Williamson, NY is unique because it was the last town in the state to prohibit the drinking of hard liquor until 2004 when prohibition was finally repealed at the local level.
