Honorary International Peace Garden at the Buffalo History Museum14 peace gardens across New York State offer magnificent display of flowers

Batavia, N.Y. - The old saying "April showers bring May flowers" is proven to be true yet again. The Bicentennial Peace Garden Trail, which stretches across New York State from Lewiston to Oswego, is full of blossoming flowers and plants. Guests are encouraged to visit the 14 permanent gardens now through October to experience them in bloom and witness their beauty.

The Peace Garden Trail spans across the Greater Niagara, Finger Lakes and 1000 Islands/Seaway regions of New York State. Blooming annually from May to October, each garden is unique in style and design. Thanks to volunteers, museum staff members and local Master Gardeners, the gardens are brimming with a variety of flowers in vibrant colors.

America's WonderNiagara Falls, N.Y. – The America's Wonder Dinner Show played to rave reviews in 2016, with a showcase of great American Music at the Great American Waterfall - Niagara Falls!  In 2017 the show returns with two incarnations.

"Niagara Falls - America's Wonder" is a Sunday Brunch experience starting on May 28th and running until Labor Day Weekend, September 3rd.  The Brunch includes superb food and the wonderful experience of the Annie Taylor room at the Days Inn at the Falls, 443 Main Street in Niagara Falls, NY.

Niagara Falls, N.Y.  - There is even more reason to celebrate this March 17, as the City of Niagara Falls, NY is joining with the Ancient Order of Hibernians (AOH), to mark its 125th Birthday at the annual St. Patrick's Day Party, held inside The Conference & Event Center Niagara Falls (101 Old Falls Street, Niagara Falls, NY), from 5 to 11 p.m.  Advance sale tickets are $9 or $10 at the door.  Children under 12 receive free admission.  Proceeds benefit local charities, as directed by the AOH's Niagara County Chapter, Division 1.

(Jan. 30, 2017) - Calling all area food vendors, Old Falls Street, USA, the three-block entertainment district that connects Niagara Falls State Park with hotels and attractions in downtown Niagara Falls, NY, is calling for local vendors who are interested in selling their products during the 2017 summer season (Memorial Day through Labor Day). Bassmaster Elite Pro Mark Menendez

Niagara Falls, N.Y. (Jan. 10, 2017) - Bassmaster Elite Pro Mark Menendez of Paducah, Kentucky will join an impressive cast of speakers at the Greater Niagara Fishing and Outdoor Expo to be held Jan. 20-22 at the Conference and Event Center Niagara Falls. Menendez, a regular on the Bassmaster Tournament Trail for 26 years, is slated to be a competitor in the Elite Series in 2017 once again.

Governor launches competition encouraging New Yorkers to propose a new name for the Robert Moses Parkway

(March 22, 2016) Governor Andrew M. Cuomo today announced that New York State will replace an underutilized two-mile stretch of the Robert Moses Parkway North in Niagara Falls with open space, scenic overlooks and recreational trails to make the waterfront more accessible to residents, tourists and visitors alike. The project marks the largest expansion of green space since the Niagara Reservation was designed in 1885, and will link the Niagara River Gorge and Falls into a single destination to allow easier access to the water's edge.

The directory is available at numerous canal sites and visitor centers along the Erie, Oswego, Cayuga-Seneca, and Champlain Canals.
