Governor Kathy Hochul today announced the grand opening of the James Newbury Hotel and The Wire event center in Coxsackie, Greene County. The nearly $11 million redevelopment project transforms two former factory buildings into a 47-room boutique hotel and a 15,000-square foot event space with a waterfront bar and multiple community rooms, building on the Governor’s commitment to support New York’s thriving tourism and hospitality industry.

New York State's Investment in the Olympic Authority Supports $16 Billion NYS Winter Tourism Industry

Lake Placid, N.Y. (June 16, 2023) – Tourism Economics, a research firm focused on economic impact, forecasting, and market analysis of tourism-based destinations worldwide, has released its "Economic Impact Analysis for the New York State Olympic Regional Development Authority" for the 2022-2023 fiscal year. The analysis found that the Olympic Regional Development Authority’s (Olympic Authority) local operational spending and revenues as well as the State’s investment yielded a direct economic impact of $341.8 million. In addition, the Olympic Authority operations supported 3,414 jobs and generated $25 million in state and local tax revenues.

The dove, which is located at Arthur’s Acres Animal Sanctuary, is the 63rd dove to be added to the trail.

The Sullivan Catskills Dove Trail, with continued support from Sullivan 180, is a self-guided art tour that takes visitors to over 60 unique dove sculptures located throughout Sullivan County. The doves were created by a variety of artists, and each one is a unique work of art.

Lake Placid, N.Y. (March 7, 2023) - The New York State Olympic Regional Development Authority (Olympic Authority) announces that Season Passes will go on sale tomorrow, Wednesday, March 8, 2023.  

The SKI3 Season Pass combines Gore Mountain, Belleayre Mountain, and Whiteface Mountain offering 7,300+ vertical feet of skiing and riding on eight peaks, 882 acres, 32 glades, and 250+ trails, and the Mt Van Hoevenberg Season Pass provides 55km of cross country ski trails.
