Governor Kathy Hochul and Empire State Development (ESD) today marked the official grand opening of the expanded The Studio facility at the storied Corning Museum of Glass. Established in 1996, The Studio offers glassmaking instruction across a spectrum of techniques and skill levels, host residencies for artists, and provide rentals of furnace, kiln, and cold-working spaces and equipment, along with a variety of other special programs.

The protection of these lands as part of the New York State Park system was a unique opportunity to safeguard sensitive natural resources and represents a valuable addition for accessibility and future recreational improvements.

Displays Planned for 20 State Historic Sites for 250th Anniversary of American Revolution in 2026

The Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation today announced that the first of 20 planned interactive video displays highlighting New York’s rich history in the American Revolution is installed at Washington’s Headquarters State Historic Site in the Hudson Valley. The video kiosks will be installed at state historic sites, state parks and the state Capitol in the coming months to showcase New York’s role in the American Revolution ahead of its 250th anniversary.

 

Neverstill Wines LogoHudson, NY (September 2024)Neverstill Wines, led by an all-female team, opens a sophisticated new tasting room in Hudson, New York. The space, designed by Amy Ilias (@thelavenderghost), a Hudson-based designer/consultant and former EVP of Art & Design at the famed ABC Carpet & Home, pays homage to the beauty of the Neverstill vineyard near New York’s Seneca Lake- the water, the soil, the climate.
