Big Brothers Big Sisters chosen as Beneficiary of this year’s Oktoberfest Events
Lake George, NY (October 7, 2026) —Adirondack Pub & Brewery released the entertainment lineup and vendor list for the 15th Annual Lake George Oktoberfest, which will feature more than 60 vendors, the most in the event’s history.
The free, family-friendly festival on October 9-11, 2026, transforms Canada Street into a lively Bavarian street fair with authentic German cuisine, music, dancing, vendors, demonstrations, family activities and more.
Vendors will offer a unique selection including handmade jewelry, pottery, wood carvings, artwork, books by local authors and Lake George-themed gifts, alongside specialty foods such as cider doughnuts, artisan chocolates and German desserts. Entertainment throughout the weekend includes Fritz’s Polka Band, Alpenglühen, Mountain Top, Tony’s Polka Band and Inseldudler, along with traditional Bavarian dancing by the Edelweiss Schuhplattlers of the Utica Maennerchor. Visitors can also enjoy stein-hoisting and keg-toss competitions, free games in Shepard Park, children’s pumpkin painting, carnival rides and Adirondack Pub & Brewery’s beer garden and German food.
The Village Oktoberfest typically welcomes an estimated 10,000 visitors during its three-day celebration, reinforcing Lake George's reputation as one of the Northeast's premier fall destinations.
This is the first of two Oktoberfest events. The celebration continues the following weekend with the 20th Annual Adirondack Oktoberfest Charity Block Party on Saturday, October 17, on Sewell Street outside Adirondack Pub & Brewery. Tickets are on sale now for the popular fundraiser, which features unlimited Adirondack Brewery craft beer, cider and hard beverages, authentic Oktoberfest fare, live music, games, contests and more. Proceeds will benefit Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Southern Adirondacks, which works with youth in communities across Warren, Washington and northern Saratoga counties. They match children with caring adults to create one-to-one mentoring relationships that give young people the confidence and support to set their sights higher and achieve more in life.
"Reaching 20 years of our charity Oktoberfest and celebrating the 15th Village Oktoberfest is something we're incredibly proud of," said John Carr, owner of Adirondack Pub & Brewery. "What started as a way to bring people to Lake George during the fall has grown into a tradition that attracts thousands of visitors, creates lasting memories and gives back to our community. Every ticket purchased helps make a difference, and we can't wait to celebrate these milestones together."
Since its inception, the Adirondack Oktoberfest Charity Block Party has raised more than $180,000 for local charitable organizations.
Last year's charity block party set a new attendance record with 600 guests and, combined with the Village Oktoberfest, welcomed visitors from across the United States and around the world, including Canada, Italy and the Netherlands. The two events helped raise a record $16,662 for Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Southern Adirondacks—the largest donation in the charity event's 19-year history.
"We're honored once again to be the beneficiary of this incredible community tradition," said Bill Moon, CEO of Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Southern Adirondacks. "The support generated through Adirondack Pub & Brewery's Oktoberfest directly helps us create and sustain life-changing mentoring relationships for local children. We're grateful to everyone who attends and helps invest in the future of our youth."
Tickets for the 20th Annual Adirondack Oktoberfest Charity Block Party are available now at lakegeorgeoktoberfest.com/adirondack-octoberfest. Early purchase is encouraged, as the event has sold out in previous years.
