Developed over seven years ago, this sweet tradition is revitalized with fresh excitement and a revamped experience for all.

The redesigned trail, featuring various ice cream and bakery stops, promises an unforgettable experience for ice cream aficionados. The updated trail logo and map were crafted by local artist Molly Reagan of Good Neighbor Art, reflecting the county's vibrant spirit and rich culinary heritage.

“The Cortland County Ice Cream Trail is a wonderful opportunity for both locals and visitors to indulge their sweet tooth and explore the wide variety of ice cream creations available at each stop along the trail,” said Michelle Enright, Executive Director at the Cortland County Convention & Visitors Bureau. “We are thrilled to reintroduce this exciting venture and invite everyone to take part in this delicious journey through Cortland County."

"We hope this initiative not only highlights our thriving food scene, but also promotes local businesses and fosters community engagement,” added Enright.

The Cortland County Ice Cream Trail invites both locals and visitors to explore the 11 participating ice cream shops and bakeries scattered across Cortland County including D’s Dairy Treat, Capt’n Jack’s Ice Cream of Shipwreck Amusements, Footie’s Freez, Frosted Bakery, The Frosty Caboose, Little Treat Shoppe, Mountainside Cones, Poole’s Drive-In, So Good Ice Cream, Super Cream Dairy Bar and the Truxton Outpost.

Participants will receive a hole punch on their Ice Cream Trail map upon indulging in their favorite ice cream creation or tasty treat at any of the stops. Once all 11 punches are collected, individuals can either bring their completed map to the Cortland County Visitors Center at 42 Main Street, Cortland NY 13045, or mail it to the Visitors Center to claim a Cortland County Ice Cream Trail enamel pin as a token of their accomplishment. Additionally, every completed map will be entered into a drawing, with one lucky winner receiving a $100 gift card to their favorite ice cream shop in Cortland County.
