Dan LynchOsceola, N.Y. – Dan Lynch, well-known in the Rochester area for his knowledge of American Roots music, will be the featured performer at the North American Fiddlers Hall of Fame and Museum at 1121 Comins Road in Osceola NY for a FREE CONCERT  on Sunday, August 24th, from 2:00-5:00 pm.

Dan grew up along Madison County’s Oneida Creek, and learned guitar and banjo from his grandparents in St. Lawrence County.  It was while studying New York State Folk Music with Jim Kimball at SUNY Geneseo that he added fiddle to his repertoire.

Dan is an active Rochester-area songwriter, performer, teacher, and audio engineer. In addition to recording and performing his own music for over a decade, he has also been teaching private lessons professionally for over 11 years. He has shared the stage with national Americana acts such as Tony Trischka, Shovels & Rope, Sarah Lee Guthrie, The Low Anthem and Darlingside.

When performing solo acts, Dan's mastery of guitar, fiddle, banjo, and mandolin lend to his vast knowledge of American Roots music, particularly New York State folk tunes! His original music swings indie folk, with skillful fingerpicking, ballad-like lyrics, and an ardent drive. For this performance on August 24th, Dan will be joined by an array of young NYS musicians who share his passion for traditional music. Expect a full string band - including multiple fiddlers, upright bass, mandolin, banjo and a surprise or two!

Members of the public are invited to join in a JAM during Dan’s break at 3:00 pm
