Brooklyn, NY (November 10, 2025) - In collaboration with Art in DUMBO and the DUMBO Improvement District, Shop the Studios returns on Saturday, December 6 from 1–6 PM, inviting the public to step inside the creative heart of Brooklyn’s most dynamic arts neighborhood.
Shop the Studios opens the doors to DUMBO’s thriving network of artists, designers, and makers whose studios are rarely accessible to the public. From painters and sculptors to jewelers, clothiers, and multidisciplinary creators, visitors are encouraged to explore the neighborhood’s diverse range of artistic expression and connect directly with the people shaping its creative landscape.
Offering a rare glimpse behind the scenes, Shop the Studios celebrates the ingenuity and innovation that define DUMBO’s artistic community. With more than 80 artists and galleries participating this year, every purchase directly supports local creators and helps sustain DUMBO’s creative spirit. Guests can meet the city’s top artists, discover one-of-a-kind works, and shop holiday-priced originals perfect for gifting. New this year, select artists will offer a preview on Thursday, December 4 from 5–8 PM, held in conjunction with DUMBO’s First Thursday Gallery Walk.
Each year, Shop the Studios draws over 1,000 visitors to DUMBO, generating thousands of dollars in art sales and supporting the neighborhood’s small businesses. With more than 20 additional artists joining this year, the 2025 edition marks the largest Shop the Studios to date. In 2024, over half of participating artists reported sales—a testament to the event’s growing impact on the local creative economy.
Transforming the neighborhood into a lively, art-filled marketplace, the event will coincide with the DUMBO x Brooklyn Flea Holiday Market in the Archway, the iconic 45-foot-high plaza under the Manhattan Bridge that draws thousands of visitors each season. Together, these programs create a weekend-long celebration of art, design, and community, encouraging market-goers and neighbors alike to experience DUMBO as a living canvas of creativity.
