Cortland, N.Y. – Experience Cortland is thrilled to announce She Shines, an event dedicated to celebrating women entrepreneurs in the Cortland County hospitality industry. This exciting gathering will take place on Thursday, March 7th from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Homer Hops Brewery.
She Shines promises an evening filled with inspiration, camaraderie, and the chance to support and discover the diverse talents of women in various industries, including retail, health and wellness, and local arts. The event aligns with Experience Cortland’s participation in the Brave Women FLX campaign, a tourism initiative highlighting historic trailblazers and today's innovative women business owners in the Finger Lakes Region.
The festivities will include a display of women vendors offering unique products and services, highlighting the entrepreneurial spirit thriving in Cortland County. Attendees can explore a variety of offerings, from handcrafted goods to health and wellness services and stunning artwork from local artists.
Attendees will also be treated to live music from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM, featuring performances by Tracy Thompson and Kat Walters. Guests can unwind and enjoy the soulful tunes while sipping on Homer Hops Brewery's selection of craft beers, seltzers and regional wine and hard ciders.
"We are excited to shine a spotlight on the incredible women entrepreneurs in our community," said Michelle Enright, Executive Director at Experience Cortland. "She Shines is not only a celebration, but also an opportunity for the community to connect with and support the creative and innovative endeavors of our local women business owners."
In addition to celebrating women's achievements, She Shines will also serve as a fundraising opportunity for the Grace Brown House, a supportive housing residence in Cortland dedicated to providing support and shelter to survivors of domestic violence and their families. Homer Hops Brewery has generously pledged to donate $1 from every drink purchased during the event to support the vital services provided to the Grace Brown House by the YWCA Cortland.
She Shines is open to all, and attendees are encouraged to bring their friends and family to join in the celebration, connect with inspiring women entrepreneurs and discover the wealth of talent Cortland County offers.
