Chautauqua County Visitors BureauChautauqua County, N.Y. – For the first time in almost a century, a Total Solar Eclipse will take place in New York State and Chautauqua County will be in the path of 100% totality for viewing! The Eclipse will occur on Monday, April 8th, 2024 between 2:04 pm and 4:31pm and reach totality at 3:17 pm for approximately 4 minutes. With a total eclipse happening every hundred years or so, this is truly a once in a lifetime event! When it comes to viewing a total solar eclipse, the best locations have an uninterrupted view of the entire sky. Solar Eclipse Spectacular at Chautauqua Golf Club

Take in the view of the eclipse uninterrupted at the Chautauqua Golf Course during their Solar Eclipse Spectacular. Enjoy complimentary eclipse viewing glasses, an eclipse themed buffet, and cash bar. Reservations required.

Lights Out: Lake Erie Wine Country

Enjoy a 3-day pass to visit all Lake Erie Wine Country wineries the weekend prior to the eclipse for Lights Out: Lake Erie Wine Country. Sample local wines paired with an eclipse-themed foods. Solar Eclipse Celebration at the Heron

Head to the Heron Farm and Event Center for a two-day Solar Eclipse Celebration. Sunday night, enjoy a dance party with live music. Grab some delicious bites from a variety of food trucks and free eclipse viewing glasses. Reservations required.
