Orange County, N.Y. - There are many ways to view fall’s brilliant colors, but none compare with a cruise on the Hudson River. And Orange County, N.Y., is the perfect point to embark on the adventure.
Passengers on the Pride of the Hudson, operated by Hudson River Adventures in Newburgh, N.Y., travel the spectacular Hudson Valley scenery on two-hour, narrated cruises. The trip is a delightful centerpiece to a fantastic autumn day – or weekend – in Orange County, just an hour from New York City.

- Bannerman Island, known for its military warehouse built to resemble a Scottish castle.
- World’s End, the deepest point of the Hudson River.
- The United States Military Academy at West Point with its beautiful, historic buildings.
- Constitution Island, where a chain crossing the river from West Point, was anchored in 1778 to block the British from sailing north.
Enjoy all that and more in the cool fall air on the Pride of the Hudson’s main sundeck, or, if you prefer to warm up, from inside the climate-controlled main salon with its large wrap-around windows.
