Brothers Anthony and Ryan Famulari from Stony Brook will be recognized by LIMEHOF with a screening and Q&A of their debut feature ‘Best Man’ on April 24th as part of the local filmmaker series.

Stony Brook, NY — The Long Island Music and Entertainment Hall of Fame (LIMEHOF) will host Stony Brook filmmaking brothers Ryan Famulari and Anthony Famulari on April 24th at 7pm at LIMEHOF in Stony Brook (97 Main Street) as part of its Local Filmmaker Series. The two will screen their debut feature ‘Best Man’. The film screening will be followed by Q&A moderated by LIMEHOF Vice Chairman Tom Needham. The event is free for members and $10 for non-members.

“The screening at LIMEHOF is an honor for both Anthony & I,” said film director Ryan Famulari. “Our family moved to Stony Brook in the summer of 1997 & has called it home ever since. To be able to share our debut feature with the community we love, right across the street from where we both grew up & developed our passion for filmmaking, is a really special opportunity & one we can't wait to experience.”

The purpose of the Local Filmmaker Series is to spotlight Long Island directors and filmmakers as part of LIMEHOF’s mission to put a spotlight on musicians and entertainers from Long Island.

“It’s a privilege for the Long Island Music & Entertainment Hall of Fame to screen Best Man, a character-driven independent film created by filmmakers with deep roots in Stony Brook,” said Tom Needham, LIMEHOF Vice Chairman. “Their work speaks to the dedication and creativity thriving in our region, and supporting projects like this helps ensure that local voices continue to be seen and heard.”

The event is free with general admission ticket purchase. LIMEHOF is now offering special film tickets for $10 for the screening, music performance and Q&A only (no access to the exhibits). These film tickets are only available at the counter for purchase on the day of the event. For more information about this and other events, visit https://www.limusichalloffame.org/

About the Famulari Brothers

Ryan and Anthony are brothers who grew up in Stony Brook. They’ve been mortal enemies since Anthony came into the world and revoked Ryan’s coveted “only child” status. Despite this rivalry, they’ve vowed to put their differences aside and join forces for the good of mankind.

Ryan majored in Journalism and played quarterback for the Stony Brook University Seawolves football program. Anthony also studied Journalism at SBU, though outside the newsroom he opted for the theatre over the gridiron.

Upon graduation, Ryan received an MFA in Creative Writing from Stony Brook Southampton while Anthony began working as an actor in New York City.

Both have since worked together as self-taught filmmakers. Relocating to Los Angeles, Ryan and Anthony have collaborated on a number of projects and are currently on their festival run with their debut feature film, BEST MAN. For more information, visit https://www.famularifilms.com/
