Ticonderoga, N.Y. (October 26, 2026) – Join Fort Ticonderoga for a one-day REAL TIME REVOLUTION® living history event on Saturday, November 7th to salute veterans service in the defense of the United States, beginning with the citizen-soldiers of 1776.
Visitors will step into Fort Ticonderoga as it appeared 250 years ago, capturing the uncertain aftermath of the successful defense of Ticonderoga, a week prior. With Washington’s army in full retreat to the south and enlistments expiring, explore the question on the minds of generals to soldiers, “…what next?”
The whole camp at Ticonderoga was pivoting in early November 1776,” said Fort Ticonderoga Vice President of Public History, Stuart Lilie. “The challenges of guarding Ticonderoga over the winter, rushing reinforcements to Washington, and convincing soldiers to reenlist all had to be addressed simultaneously, as cold weather set in.
