2025 Highlights Include:

REAL TIME REVOLUTION™: Immersive Historical Experience: Fort Ticonderoga’s REAL TIME REVOLUTION™ experience will bring the critical years of 1775-1777 to life, offering visitors a day-by-day, moment-by-moment experience of the people and events that defined the fight for independence. During this multi-year campaign from 2025-2027, visitors will experience, in real time, the unsung construction of the Northern Department of the Continental Army, pulled from primary sources that detail our understanding of the period.

2025 Signature Events:

  • NO QUARTER | May 9-11: Commemorate the 250th anniversary of America’s First Victory with a real-time reenactment of the Green Mountain Boys' march from Vermont, culminating in the capture of Fort Ticonderoga. Experience the aftermath of the victory and the preparations for further campaigns.
  • BENEDICT ARNOLD’S COMMAND | June 21-22: Explore Fort Ticonderoga under Benedict Arnold’s command, examining his leadership and the political complexities that led to his resignation.
  • ONWARD TO CANADA | August 30-31: Witness the first muster of the Northern Continental Army and Ticonderoga’s role as a vital supply and naval base.
  • NOBLE TRAIN BEGINS | December 6: Recreate the arrival of Henry Knox and the beginning of the legendary transport of cannons to Boston.

Carillon Boat Cruises: Aboard the Carillon cruise boat, enjoy gorgeous, sweeping vistas of Vermont's Green Mountains and New York's Adirondack Mountains during a 75-minute narrated tour on Lake Champlain. An assortment of beer, wine, soft drinks, and snacks are available for purchase onboard. Daily cruises are available starting Memorial Day weekend. • Museum Exhibitions:  Explore one of North America’s finest collections of 18th-century military material culture. NEW and permanent exhibitions featuring art, weapons, and equipment from North America to Europe highlight Ticonderoga’s signature stories and document warfare in Colonial and Revolutionary America and the broader Atlantic world.

  • NEW 2025 FEATURED EXHBIT: A Revolutionary Anthology: Subjects, Citizens, Service
    A new, rotating exhibition series, "A Revolutionary Anthology," will offer a deep dive into the world of the American Revolution. From 2024 to 2028, the exhibition will feature different themes, showcasing hundreds of artifacts, including items from the Robert Nittolo Collection, many on display for the first time. The 2025 exhibition, "Subjects, Citizens, Service," focuses on the armies and people of the Revolution, opening May 3, 2025.

Lush Historic Gardens and Friendly Animals: Immerse your senses in the colors and scents of a unique American country estate and explore Ticonderoga’s story after the Revolution. Visit the King’s Garden or make memories with your family in a NEW garden designed especially for children. Discover our heritage breed animals including oxen duo, Mick and Mack! Watch for sheep grazing uneven terrain as part of our stewardship of this historic landscape today.

Breathtaking Views: Visit Mount Defiance to witness a birds-eye view of Fort Ticonderoga’s epic historic landscape. Whether you hike up the mountain in the footsteps of General Burgoyne’s troops or make the easy drive to the top in your car, you’ll savor the spectacular beauty of America’s most historic landscape. Discover how this summit shaped America’s history during the “Mount Defiance: Witness to History” guided tour offered Tuesday-Sunday at 4:00 p.m.

NEW Family Program Adventures: In July and August, build family adventures by helping soldiers with their daily duties. Receive awards for completing the tasks. The Northern Department: A Critical Theater: Fort Ticonderoga underscores the pivotal role of the Continental Army's Northern Department during the Revolution's early years. A new interactive website, https://northerndepartment.org/, details the 18 sites and partnering museums that formed this historic region and invites exploration of the Hudson-Lake Champlain Corridor. Notably, this initiative stands alone as a multi-national, multi-state, and tribal partnership within the America 250th commemoration.

Expanded Educational Programs: Fort Ticonderoga will offer expanded professional development opportunities on-site and on-line for educators and students featuring the Revolutionary War, and Ticonderoga’s role in these conflict. These programs will connect Common Core and C-3 History standards, providing educators with valuable resources for the classroom. Fort Ticonderoga and Mount Defiance are open for visitation Tuesday-Sunday May 3-October 26, 2025, from 9:30 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. (last ticket sold at 4:30 p.m.). General admission tickets are valid for two consecutive days!
