Glens Falls, NY — Glens Falls Vegan Festival, a joyful, inclusive celebration of plant-based food and the vegan lifestyle, is set for Saturday, August 10, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in City Park in Downtown Glens Falls, New York. It is hosted by Glens Falls Vegan and Advokate, LLC, and sponsored by the City of Glens Falls, Capital Region Vegan Network and Burch Bottle & Packaging, Inc.
Among those in attendance are Soulistic Vegan from Schenectady, Farmacy, Downtown Social, Woodstock Herbal Products, Simply Garlic, Funked Up Art Co., C.A.R.E., The LOCALS’ Bookshop, Upper Hudson Queer Alliance and others.
Bitchin Donuts (formerly Birch Bark Eatery) donuts will be available via presale for pickup at the event. See the Glens Falls Vegan Facebook or Instagram page for details.
Entertainment includes a pit bull “kissing booth” by Out of the Pits, live music by emcee Mark Rabin with performances by Brent Haviland, Alicia Macier VanScoy & Joseph Biss, and activities for the whole family from sponsor Capital Region Vegan Network.
The event will include a festival-day lunch and dinner menu made up of restaurant specials throughout the city, so attendees can explore the many vegan options available at Glens Falls restaurants around town.. Take-out lunch specials abound, so follow Glens Falls Vegan on Facebook and bring your lunch to enjoy in the park. Festival attendees will be awarded a 20% off coupon to use at Rock Hill Bakehouse Cafe, which is 100% vegan.
