LARAC - Lower Adirondack Regional Arts Council logoGlens Falls, N.Y. – The Lower Adirondack Regional Arts Council (LARAC) presents Here & There, a group show of ten regionally and nationally known artists at its Mountain Gallery location in downtown Glens Falls, NY. The show opens on February 23 with a reception from 5-7pm and runs through March 29. In addition, a Closing Reception will be celebrated on March 29, commemorating both the end of the exhibit and the end of LARAC’s time in this additional gallery space at 21 Bay Street, Glens Falls, NY.

The theme of Here & There is explored in each artist’s selection of works, interpreted literally or metaphorically; some pieces are inspired by motifs or scenes close by, while other pieces are inspired by subjects or concepts farther afield.  The works in the exhibit offer visitors to the gallery a variety of genres, stylistic approaches, and mediums to take in. Each artist demonstrates a recognizable artistic voice, honed after years of devotion to their art practice. The artists exhibiting are: painters Susan Beadle (acrylic), Eden Compton (gouache and oil), Cindi Handy (watercolor), Fred Holman (oil), Jill Murphy (oil), Ann Larsen (oil), Pamela Stendardi (watercolor and ink), Diane Swanson (watercolor), photographer Gary Larsen, and sculptor Ronn Mattia.

We would like to express our sincere gratitude to Peter Hoffman of Glen Street Associates for graciously offering the space to us, as well as the community as a whole for your donations and support, which helped LARAC keep this space through March 2024.

With the closure of LARAC’s Mountain Gallery, LARAC’s main location, Lapham Gallery, at 7 Lapham Place in Glens Falls, NY will continue to be a hub for creativity, inspiration, and connection, engaging with the community through both established and new initiatives, expanding its programming and workshop experiences.
