Herschell Carrouisel Factory Museum logoNorth Tonawanda, N.Y. —The Herschell Carrousel Factory Museum has announced today that the Victorian Tea event will take place Saturday, April 27th 2pm-4pm. The event will feature a presentation by special guest Amanda R. Woomer entitled The Art of Grieving: The Beauty Behind Victorian Mourning Customs. Tickets are $40 per person and are available by calling the museum at (716) 693-1885.

Victorian Tea is a 2 hour event that includes a three course tea, and a special interest presentation. The event also includes a 50/50 raffle and a basket raffle.

The food courses include scones, strawberries, tea sandwiches, and desserts. Please notify the museum of any food allergies or dietary restrictions prior to the event.

Amanda R. Woomer is a writer, anthropologist, and former international English teacher, Amanda  was born and raised in Buffalo, NY. A member of the Society for Psychical Research, she is a featured writer for the award-winning Haunted Magazine and The Morbid Curious, as well as the owner of Spook-Eats.

She is the author of A Haunted Atlas of Western New York, The Spirit Guide: America’s Haunted Breweries, Distilleries, and Wineries, and The Ghosts of the Ghostlight Theatre as well as two books in the Creepy Books for Creepy Kids series. She is also proud to be the creator of The Feminine Macabre.
