Hudson, NY (August 18, 2025) — : Hudson Hall at the historic Hudson Opera House is proud to welcome Icelandic experimental pop group múm for an intimate concert in its beautifully restored, 300-seat theater on Saturday, September 20, 2025. This rare regional stop is part of the band’s first full-scale North American tour in years, and marks their Hudson Valley debut. Múm will also release their highly anticipated new album, History of Silence, on September 19, 2025, their first full-length record in 12 years. The new single "Mild at Heart" is currently available.
Opening the evening, New York-based Mice Parade return to the stage as an acoustic duo after a 15-year hiatus.
Formed in 1997 by Gunnar Örn Tynes and Örvar Smárason, múm (pronounced moom) is celebrated for their inventive fusion of soft vocals, glitch beats, innovative sampling, and a mix of traditional and unconventional instruments. Over the past two decades, the group has released six critically acclaimed albums, including the genre-defining Yesterday Was Dramatic – Today Is OK, Finally We Are No One, and Smilewound.
Their collaborative spirit has led to projects with artists such as Kylie Minogue and Hauschka, commissions from international orchestras, and original scores for theater and film. Whether remixing live with Brian Eno at Norway’s Punkt Festival, performing with Kronos Quartet at Iceland Airwaves, or composing for the silent film Menschen am Sonntag, múm continues to push the boundaries of sound and performance.
Audiences can expect delicate melodies, experimental electronics, and lush instrumentation, in Hudson Hall’s acoustically rich, intimate setting.
