Staatsburg, N.Y.  (12/09/25) — A stunning and festive touring experience awaits you in one of the great estates of the Hudson Valley. While touring Staatsburgh State Historic Site’s Beaux-Arts country home for A Gilded Age Christmas, enjoy live classical guitar performed by Dan Stevens. Stevens will perform a selection of holiday tunes and classical guitar standards in the mansion’s formal dining room on Saturdays, December 13 and 20, from 1:00pm to 3:00pm. The music is included in the site admission price.

Staatsburgh was the Gilded Age country home of Ruth Livingston Mills, a prominent figure in New York society, and her husband, financier and philanthropist Ogden Mills. Their stately home overlooking the Hudson River was redesigned and expanded to 79 rooms in 1895 by famous architect Stanford White, and contains its original furnishings, art and décor.

Staatsburgh will open for holiday touring, by reservation, beginning Friday, November 28. The site will be closed Christmas Eve and Christmas Day and then will be open every day from December 26 through December 30. Site admission is $10 for adults, $8 for seniors; children 12 and younger are free. Reservations are strongly recommended: www.Bookeo.com/StaatsburghSHS

The site’s giftshop will be open during all tour hours, offering a wide range of books, jewelry, apparel, toys, and other gift items. Visitors may also enjoy a stroll by the Hudson River, or a hike on woodland trails in adjacent Mills Memorial State Park.
