Cape Vincent, N.Y. - Rockabilly from Morris & The Hepcats will kick off the Cape Vincent Arts Council's Concerts on the Green series on Saturday, June 28 from 4:00-5:30 p.m. on the Cape Vincent Village Green on Broadway St. (Rain location is the Cape Vincent Fire Hall, 241 Broadway St.) Audience members should bring a lawn chair or blanket. The 2025 Concerts on the Green series is made possible with funds from the Statewide Community Regrants Program, a regrant program of the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of the Office of the Governor and the New York State Legislature and administered by the St. Lawrence County Arts Council.
Morris & The Hepcats
Featuring acclaimed Syracuse guitarist Morris Tarbell, this four-piece band plays a lively, good-time mix of rockabilly, blues, swing, and surf music as well as versions of classic rock songs in those styles. Morris has been the featured guitarist with Central New York bands Built For Comfort and Corn-Bred and has shared the stage with such musical greats as The Beach Boys, Los Lobos, Johnny Winter, and Buddy Guy. The Hepcats feature Rock Carbone (drums/vocals), Bob Sherwood (bass/vocals), and Nel Tarbell (vocals).

July 19 Simba Marimba (Zimbabwean marimba music)
Aug. 2 Foolish Pride (blues/rock/jam)
Aug. 9 Blue Note (jazz/Latin/pop) [replacing Let's Cool One]
Aug. 16 Ron Spencer Band (blues)
CVAC will also present these upcoming downtown music events, made possible through the sponsorship of Cape Vincent businesses that support CVAC's mission of making community arts experiences available to the public at no cost:
- Riverside Music & Arts Festival, July 26, 11am-7pm, featuring NNY musicians performing their own original music.
- Stroll on Broadway Music Fest, August 23, 10am-6pm, with dozens of musicians performing at local businesses along Broadway Street in downtown Cape Vincent.
The Cape Vincent Arts Council is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization consisting entirely of volunteers. It is dedicated to providing opportunities for the public to enjoy and participate in cultural activities in and around Cape Vincent. Among the events it sponsors are the Concerts on the Green series, the Stroll on Broadway, the Riverside Music & Arts Festival, summer art classes, author presentations, art exhibitions, and the Thousand Islands International Piano Competition for Young People (Sept. 5-7, 2025).
