Rainbow Air Helicopter ToursWith Opening of Reinvented Attraction Only Weeks Away

Niagara Falls, NY (April 4, 2025) - Rainbow Air Helicopter Tours, the only helicopter tour company on the US side of Niagara Falls and winner of the 2024 Newsweek Magazine Poll for “Best Helicopter Tour in the USA,” is in the air for 2025! Rainbow Air is flying from its temporary home at the Niagara Falls International Airport while work continues on opening the company’s new $15 million Rainbow Air Tourism Center on Acheson Road off Buffalo Avenue in the city this spring.

Rainbow Air will be flying from 9 am - 5 pm Friday through Sunday for the months of April and May from the spot at 9990 Porter Road, directly under the air traffic control tower at the Niagara Falls airport. This is one of the first real signs of the return of the tourism season in the Falls, and offers just a taste of what is to come when the new 30,000 sq. ft. building opens in a few short weeks.

“We’re all thrilled to get the season started and take another step toward our exciting future,” said Patrick Keyes, Sales and Marketing Manager for Rainbow Air. “Giving people the breathtaking experience of seeing the Falls from the air - including the panoramic view from Canadian airspace - is what we have been about for 30 years, and we can’t wait to offer more thrills from our new home for many years to come.”

Keyes noted that this is the company’s last season opening day, as Rainbow Air will be changing to year-round operation in the new location, which is just a couple of minutes from the entrance to Niagara Falls State Park.

Construction of Rainbow Air’s new home is nearly complete, and final steps are being done to get the building ready for an expected opening in late May. In addition to being in a new location closer to the downtown Niagara Falls tourist area, the company is unveiling a new helicopter fleet, a spectacular multisensory Virtual Reality experience, and many more amenities to keep guests busy. More information about the opening of the new building will be made available in the coming days and weeks.

Rainbow Air is also pleased to announce that it will resume its free round-trip shuttle service from the downtown Niagara Falls hotels to the airport location. The shuttle will continue to be available for the new location as well, to help get the public acclimated to the new spot.
