It’s Okay to PauseBinghamton, NY (September 1, 2026)  — Roberson Museum is proud to present “It’s Okay to Pause...” The Art of Deb Koffman, an exhibition celebrating the wit and wisdom of the late Binghamton-born artist and author Deb Koffman. The exhibition will open to the public on Saturday, September 26 in Roberson’s Jill Morgan Packard Gallery with a reception from 12 PM – 2 PM. Attendees are invited to participate in a hands-on craft using Koffman’s work as inspiration. Prints of Koffman’s work will be available in the Museum Shop throughout the duration of the exhibition.

Deb Koffman (1956–2021) created whimsical, thought-provoking artwork that encouraged mindfulness, self-reflection, and joy. Her distinctive style features cartoon-like figures alongside uplifting messages about self-awareness and inner struggles. The exhibition borrows its name from a sign that Deb Koffman hung outside her studio in Housatonic, MA, giving us gentle permission to stop, take a break, and be OK with not knowing which way to go or what to do.

“I do what I do because I got tired of doing what I was supposed to do,” says Koffman in her artist statement. “So I became an ‘artist’ being dedicated to, and inspired by, discovering what is inherently true for me.”
