Saratoga looks to build on 2025 Top 5 national ranking
Saratoga Springs, N.Y. –Discover Saratoga is proud to announce that Saratoga Springs, N.Y., has been nominated for USA TODAY’s 10Best Readers’ Choice Award for Best Summer Travel Destination. The national award highlights destinations that deliver unforgettable warm-weather escapes through a mix of culture, outdoor recreation, entertainment and family-friendly experiences. Voting is open from Monday, April 13 at noon EDT through Monday, May 11 at 11:59 a.m. EDT.
Summer in Saratoga Springs offers visitors a quintessential Upstate New York getaway, blending signature events with scenic outdoor adventure and vibrant downtown energy. From the excitement of the Saratoga Race Course and world-class performances at Saratoga Performing Arts Center to boating on Saratoga Lake and strolling Broadway, the destination delivers a summer experience that is both timeless and dynamic. Saratoga’s distinctive mix of racing tradition, arts and culture, outdoor recreation, dining and shopping continues to make it one of the Northeast’s most beloved summer escapes.

This year’s nomination follows a strong showing in 2025, when Saratoga Springs ranked No. 4 in USA TODAY’s 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards for Best Summer Travel Destination and was the only New York destination to make the final Top 10 list.
Supporters can vote for Saratoga Springs once per day until voting closes on Monday, May 11 at 11:59 a.m. EDT. The top 10 winners will be announced on Wednesday, May 20 at noon EDT.
