Colonie, N.Y. – The Historical Society of the Town of Colonie have announced that John DiNuzzo, President of the Lake George Battlefield Park Alliance, alongside member-historian Mark Silo, will delve into the rich historical significance of the site encompassing both the French & Indian War and the American Revolution.

Central to their presentation is the pivotal Battle of Lake George in 1755, marking a crucial early triumph for the British over the French.  They will also highlight ongoing efforts to honor history, including the reverential reinterment project of 44 Continental soldiers who fell in 1776, emphasizing the park’s role as a solemn memorial to those who sacrificed for America’s independence.
