Glens Falls, NY – The Hyde Collection is thrilled to announce the return of the highly anticipated annual High School Juried Show for its 35th anniversary. This spring exhibition serves as an extraordinary platform for budding student artists across Warren, Washington, Saratoga, Hamilton, and Essex counties to showcase their talent and immerse themselves in a professional, competitive arts environment.
On view April 18 through May 17, 2026, the High School Juried Show is one of the nation's longest-running events of its kind, spotlighting the works of dozens of outstanding regional artists. This year's exhibition promises to be exceptional. The Museum received over 440 artwork submissions from 275 students representing 18 regional schools.
Students from the following New York school districts are included in this year’s showcase: Argyle Central School, Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake Central School, Cambridge Central School, Crown Point Central School, Fort Ann Central School, Glens Falls Central School, Hudson Falls High School, Johnsburg Central School, Lake George Jr and Sr High School, North Warren Central School, Queensbury High School, Salem Central School, Saratoga Springs High School, Schroon Lake Central School, Schuylerville High School, South Glens Falls High School, Ticonderoga Central School and Whitehall Senior High School.
The High School Juried Show serves as a transformative opportunity for area high school students to delve into the intricacies of the art world, gaining invaluable experience and knowledge along the way. High school artists employ diverse styles and mediums, including drawing, painting, digital illustration, photography, mixed-media, jewelry, sculpture, and ceramics. This esteemed exhibition exposes participants to the finer points of a professional competitive exhibition process, fostering growth, creativity, and a deeper understanding of their craft.
In an extensive jurying process in which all submissions are reviewed, judges selected 136 pieces of artwork for the exhibition. The jurors this year include Ava Tesoriero, ceramicist and artist in residence at Saratoga Clay Arts, painter and sculptor Katie Langford, and Joy Muller-McCoola, fiber artist and retired Glens Falls art educator.

As one of the nation's longest-running high school juried shows, we are proud to continue providing this opportunity for our region's amazing young artists," said Katelyn Foley, Curator of Education & Engagement at The Hyde Collection. “This year marks a particular milestone, as we celebrate the impact that this annual exhibition has had on our community. Numerous students, educators, artists and members of the community have fostered a relationship with The Hyde Collection through this annual exhibition. Through the celebration of these young artists our community has developed future artists, educators, and creative thinkers who continue to contribute and sustain our rich arts culture here in the Northeast and beyond.”
The exhibition's award recipients will be announced at the opening reception on Saturday, April 18 in The Helen Froehlich Auditorium at The Hyde Collection. Awards will include Best of Show, Curator’s Awards, Juror’s Awards, and the Visitor’s Choice Award. Additionally, winners will receive scholarships for art classes at SUNY Adirondack.
The High School Juried Show exemplifies The Hyde Collection's commitment to fostering creativity, growth, and artistic excellence in our community. The Museum invites art enthusiasts of all ages to join this celebration of artistic expression and our region's youth.
