Lake House on CanandaiguaMonthlong programming brings together movement, mindfulness, seasonal spa experiences and community support for Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Canandaigua, N.Y. – This October, The Lake House on Canandaigua is inviting guests and the local community to make space for something often overlooked: emotional well-being.

Coinciding with Emotional Wellness Month and Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the MICHELIN Guide-recommended Finger Lakes resort will host wellness experiences throughout October while raising funds for the Breast Cancer Coalition of Rochester and offering complimentary programming for cancer survivors and their families.

The month’s wellness calendar includes:

October 7 | Mat Pilates + Meditation

A collaborative evening with The Reformery, Finger Lakes Social Club, Smu and Lululemon featuring Mat Pilates, meditation, an emotional wellness connection experience and a social hour in the Library Bar with complimentary ear seeding. The evening begins at 5:30 p.m. in The Lake House’s timber frame Event Barn. Tickets are $48.

October 14 | Worldwide Reiki Meditation Event

The Lake House will join a global World Peace Card Meditation taking place across successive time zones. Beginning at 6 p.m., the evening will include a lecture led by Jen Agnitti of The Sovereign Key followed by a 7:30 p.m. Reiki meditation led by Lake House wellness leader Suzanne Frazer, connecting participants in Canandaigua with a worldwide meditation centered on peace and higher consciousness.

October 28 | Healing in Harmony: Gentle Yoga + Sound Bath

A complimentary experience inviting cancer survivors and their families to come together for gentle movement, sound, rest and connection.

Throughout Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the resort will also raise funds for the Breast Cancer Coalition of Rochester through special culinary and spa offerings. $2 from every featured pink cocktail and dessert sold will be donated, with offerings including Just Peachy, I Pink I Can, Pink Ribbon and a Pink Apple Financier. At Willowbrook Spa, $20 from every Pink Cactus Illuminating Facial booked will benefit the organization. The Lake House Cares Crew will also participate in the Rochester Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk.

October also marks the arrival of Willowbrook Spa’s fall treatment menu, including the Autumn Escape Massage, Toasted Marshmallow & Caramel Body Scrub and Anti-Aging Exosome Booster Facial, offering additional ways for guests to slow down and reset as the season changes.

“Emotional wellness can take many forms, whether it’s moving your body, taking time to be still, connecting with other people or simply giving yourself permission to slow down”, said Suzanne Frazer, wellness leader at The Lake House. “We wanted October to create opportunities for all of those things while also using the month to support our community and those impacted by breast cancer.”

The October programming builds on The Lake House’s growing focus on intentional wellness, which has included immersive sound baths, meditation experiences, seasonal gatherings and retreats centered on movement, mindfulness and nature.
