Hudson, NY - The Olana Partnership will hold its monthly FREE Third Thursdays on October 16 from 12:00 to 6:00 PM at Olana State Historic Site. The Hudson Sloop Club will host fall fishing at Olana’s lake, followed by a musical performance by Brasskill.
Olana Third Thursdays are free monthly community days. Celebrate summer with free tours, nature, art, music, and history while participating in engaging experiences for the whole family!
Join The Olana Partnership and Hudson Sloop Club from 3:00 to 6:00 PM to learn more about fishing, water ecology, and the plants and animals that live in Olana’s lake! There will be drop-in hands-on activities including fishing from shore, wading in the lake, netting, and digging. All the while, attendees will learn about river ecosystems at the mobile Everett Nack Estuary Education Center.
During this month’s “Tunes with a View” program enjoy the lively music of Brasskill, the Hudson Valley’s favorite party jazz band, against the backdrop of Olana’s breathtaking views from 5:00 to 6:00 PM. This performance takes place outside the Historic House.
A free shuttle will be available to all interested attendees and will pick up guests at the Hudson Area Library to bring them to Olana and return to the library every hour on the hour between 2:00 PM – 7:00 PM.
All Third Thursday offerings are free and open to the public; check in at the Visitor Center the day of the event for details. Additionally, visitors are invited to enjoy guided landscape tours and self-guided historic house access from 12:00 - 5:30 PM. No tickets required!
