Annual Dumbo Drop Events Take Place at 5pm and 7pm on Washington Street in Dumbo
DUMBO, Brooklyn (April 22, 2025) — Brooklyn’s flying elephant fundraising spectacle, the annual Dumbo Drop, is back on Friday, May 30, 2025 with two drops of thousands of parachuting toy elephants from the rooftops surrounding Washington Street (5pm and 7pm).
Tickets, priced starting at $15, include a souvenir toy elephant, a guaranteed spot to view the Drop on the block of Washington Street between Front Street and Water Street, and an entry into that Drop’s prize sweepstakes with a chance to win major neighborhood prizes. Drops are ticketed separately. All individuals ages 2 and older are required to purchase a viewing ticket to witness the Drop.
New this year, ticket holders can enjoy a special themed photo opp, live music by The Jelly, and an interactive dance party hosted by Life Time and their star trainer Joseph David. Bites and drinks will be for sale at a Taste of Dumbo restaurant row.
Prizes for winners include: a Six-Month Family Membership to Life Time gym in Dumbo ($5,000 value), a two night stay at 1Hotel Brooklyn Bridge ($1,800 value), a Summer of Laughs Pass to The Rat for two ($1,500 value), Summer of Wellness Pass to Sound Mind Center for two ($600 value), $500 to Dumbo’s famed Almondine Bakery, courtesy of Space Theory | Henrybuilt, an Escape Room experience for six at Beat the Bomb ($500 value), and $300 to spend at ArtWise, a rare prints purveyor in Dumbo. Winners will choose their preferred prizes in order of drawings.

Proceeds from the #DUMBODROP support Dumbo’s Title 1 public schools, PS307 Elementary and The Dock Street Middle School.
Each year’s elephants feature a uniquely designed parachute by a neighborhood artist. This year’s parachute is designed by Zeph Farmby.
A free Dumbo Archway Party for all ages will also be held from 4pm to 7pm. No ticket is needed for this area. Highlights include:
- A free Kids Zone, featuring 20+ activities for kiddos aged 1-10, powered by Brooklyn Bridge Parents
-A free Bouncy Slide, powered by Elliston Pediatrics.
- A Bedazzling Extravaganza, hosted by Creatively Wild, for kids and kidults.
-Taste of Dumbo, a Dumbo restaurant row featuring neighborhood restaurants offering delicious menu options for sale.
- A Beer Garden, where attendees can enjoy drinks al fresco from the Dumbo Archway bar
