Don't try this at home! See glassblowing pushed to the edge in bold, high-energy shows that blend spectacular feats with surprising science. Enjoy daily, live narrated Hot Glass and Flameworking demos, including special shows on our outdoor Courtyard Hot Shop.

Studio Instructor Presentations  

July 7, 2026 from 7:30 – 9:30 pm  

Attend free, informal lectures by world-renowned Studio instructors. Hear instructors speak about their work in unstructured and highly informative sessions in The Studio Theater on Tuesday nights throughout the summer class sessions. 

This week features Victoria Ahmadizadeh Melendez, Liza Little, Matt Robertson, Boyd Sugiki, Wilhelm Vernim, and Lisa Zerkowitz. 

Little Gather | Doug "Bubbleman" Rougeux     

July 8, 2026 from 11 am – 12 pm  

Searching for a fun summer activity for your kids that's both educational and exciting? Look no further than Little Gather, our popular free summer program, celebrating 25 years at the Museum! Join us this week for an unforgettable performance by Bubbleman Doug where he will be bursting giant bubbles, tiny bubbles and doing bubble tricks. It will be hands-on fun for the whole family! 

This program is all about having fun and is perfect for youngsters aged 11 and under, but everyone is welcome and encouraged to join in the fun. So, mark your calendars, get ready to dance and sing along, and join us for an epic summer experience!

Studio Livestream Demonstration | Matt Robertson 

July 8, 2026 from 11 am – 12 pm  

Watch artist-instructor Matt Robertson demonstrate his flameworking class at The Studio. Robertson is a glass artist renowned for his distinctive matte-finished caricature sculptures. The class will dive deep into character creation, focusing on how to infuse sculptures with life, emotion, and narrative through form, posture, color, and imaginative assembly.

Bring the Heat Demonstration | Tom Ryder 

July 9, 2026 from 11:30 am – 1 pm  

Our demonstration series, Bring the Heat, shines a spotlight on the expert glassmakers from our Hot Glass Team, showcasing their creativity and expertise. Join us this week at the amphitheater hot shop as glassmaker Tom Ryder works with fellow Hot Glass Team members to create a unique piece* of his own design. You can also watch online via our livestream on The Corning Museum of Glass YouTube channel.  

*Artwork made during our Bring the Heat series will be available for purchase exclusively in The Shops!  

Free Admission for Active-Duty Military + Families - Blue Star Museums Program  

The Museum is once again participating in the Blue Star Museums program, offering free Museum admission to all active-duty military and their families on Armed Forces Day through Labor Day. * As always, Museum admission is valid for two consecutive days.

*The Museum also offers a 15% discount to all active military and veterans all year long. During the month of November, the Museum celebrates veterans with free admission to all military veterans.

In 2026, the Corning Museum of Glass celebrates 75 years as the foremost authority on the art, history, and science of glass. It is home to the world’s most important collection of glass, including the finest examples of glassmaking spanning 3,500 years. Live glassblowing demonstrations (offered at the Museum and on the road) bring the material to life. Daily Make Your Own Glass experiences at the Museum enable visitors to create work in a state-of-the-art glassmaking studio. The campus in Corning includes The Studio, a year-round glassmaking school celebrating 30 years in 2026, and the Rakow Research Library, with the world’s preeminent collection of materials on the art and history of glass. Located in the heart of the Finger Lakes Wine Country of New York State, the Museum is open daily 9 a.m.– 5 p.m. from April through December. Children and teens, 17 and under, receive free admission.
