Saratoga Springs, NY – Discover the rich history and architecture of Saratoga Springs with the Summer Sunday Strolls, a guided walking tour series presented by the Saratoga Springs Preservation Foundation.
On Sunday, June 22, at 10:30AM, join Debbie Studwell for “Historic Madison and Fifth Avenues.” This engaging tour explores the architectural diversity and historical development of a charming neighborhood near the Saratoga Race Course. Stroll along the beautifully manicured streets and learn how the area evolved from the late 1800s through the 1940s. The featured properties are all contributing structures within the East Side Historic District, listed on the National Register of Historic Places. This tour is generously sponsored by Olde Bryan Inn and meets at the northeast corner of Nelson and Fifth Avenues.
On Sunday, June 29, at 10:30AM, Assemblywoman and former Foundation Executive Director Carrie Woerner leads “Wealth & Wellness: Franklin Square.” Explore Saratoga’s oldest residential neighborhood, where stately homes and original buildings tell the story of the city’s early development. Carrie will share architectural insights and point out one of the city’s oldest remaining residences. Sponsored by Y Engineering DPC, this tour meets at the northwest corner of Division Street and Railroad Place, in front of SPOT Coffee.
The Foundation is grateful for the generous support of the 2025 Summer Series Sponsors: Druthers Brewing Company, and Stewart’s Shops. All Sunday morning tours last approximately 90 minutes and requires walking and standing on varied terrain. Tours are limited to 30 participants. The cost per tour is $15 for SSPF members and $20 for non-members. Foundation members with stroll passes need to contact the Foundation’s office to book their Sunday Summer Stroll before the date they choose.
