Only Three Events Left in the Market’s Historic Final Season

Harlem, NY — On Thursday, August 14, Uptown Night Market takes center stage as one of the marquee events of Harlem Week 2025, transforming the arches of the Harlem Viaduct into a world-class celebration of food, music, and community. This month’s edition is extra special — it marks the third-to-last Uptown Night Market ever, as the beloved festival closes out its final season after five record-breaking years and over 300,000 attendees served.

The Best of NYC’s Food Scene — All in One Place

From Dominican mofongo to Senegalese thieboudienne, Korean street eats to Maine style Lobster Rolls , August 14 brings together 60+ of New York City’s top culinary vendors, including award-winning chefs, neighborhood legends, and breakout street food entrepreneurs. The market has been credited with launching and growing dozens of POC-, immigrant-, and women-owned businesses, and this month will see new vendor debuts alongside fan favorites.

A Harlem Week Experience Like No Other

As part of Harlem Week’s legendary calendar — which draws over 2 million visitors annually — Uptown Night Market will deliver a stacked lineup of live music, dance performances, and interactive activations:

  • Main Stage: Curated Harlem Week performances blending jazz, hip hop, Latin beats, and African rhythms
  • Live Studio Broadcast: Media personalities hosting live interviews with vendors, artists, and community leaders
  • Games & Challenges: Trivia, food competitions, and Harlem-themed giveaways throughout the night
  • Cultural Activations: Local nonprofits, artisans, and creatives showcasing Harlem’s legacy and future

More Than a Market — A Movement

Since its debut in 2021, Uptown Night Market has been more than just a place to eat — it’s become a cultural institution and a living tribute to Harlem’s history and diversity. Averaging 8,000 guests each month, the market has been a platform for small business growth, neighborhood pride, and cultural exchange.

“This August’s market isn’t just part of Harlem Week — it’s a love letter to Harlem itself,” says Marco Shalma, Executive Producer of MASC Hospitality Group. “We’ve got the food, the music, the energy… and only three more nights to celebrate it together before we pass the torch to something even bigger.”
