Margaretville, NY — The Open Eye Theater is proud to present a powerful, one-night-only spotlight performance of 12 Angry Electrics on Saturday, August 1st at 7:00 PM. Conceived and performed by seven-time Emmy Award-winning writer, director, and actor William Electric Black (Ian E. James), this intimate solo show is a major highlight of the summer season.

Inspired by Sidney Lumet’s classic courtroom drama 12 Angry Men, William Electric Black masterfully becomes all 12 jurors in a timely masterpiece. It is an intense, intimate solo show that brings a familiar courtroom dynamic to the stage while theatrically weaving significant historical and modern jury trials into the forefront. His riveting performance explores the realities of the American justice system.

William Electric Black brings immense professional prestige to the Catskills. Beyond his writing tenure on Sesame Street and work with Nickelodeon, he received the La MaMa Regional Theater Tony Award in 2018 and has served as a faculty member at NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts for over 20 years.
