Corning, NY — Some people know how to take a thing like pumpkin carving and make it into an art. One such caver, Eric Jones, will be in Corning during the Days of Incandescence this year carving live on Centerway Stage on Saturday, October 26th from 2:30-6:30pm.
Guinness world record holder and winner of Food Network's “Outrageous Pumpkins,” Eric has become a fixture in this unique form of culinary creativity. A finalist on “Halloween Wars” and a current competitor on Food Network’s “Halloween Wars All-Stars Season 14,” you can watch Eric carve giant pumpkins in person and get an up-close look at his carving wizardry.
The event is FREE and family-friendly and kicks off the Days of Incandescence Celebration which will run from 4-8pm in Riverfront Park on Saturday, 10/26 and features a community jack-o-lantern contest, live music, horse and wagon rides, blacksmithing demos, juggling, artisan and food vendors, storytelling, a headless horseman, street magic, fire-spinning, face painting, and more.
