Shoshana Bean, Sofia Carson, Taylor Dayne, Micaela Diamond, and Angélique Kidjo Join The New York Pops for its 42nd Birthday Gala, “Words And Music: Diane Warren”

(February 19, 2025) — Notable guest artists including Shoshana Bean (GRAMMY Award winner and two-time Tony Award nominee), Sofia Carson (star of Netflix’s Purple Hearts and Carry-On), Taylor Dayne (singer of the number one hit “Love Will Lead You Back”), Micaela Diamond (Tony Award nominee for Parade and original Broadway cast member of The Cher Show), and Angélique Kidjo (five-time GRAMMY Award winner) will join The New York Pops to honor legendary songwriter Diane Warren at the orchestra’s 42nd Birthday Gala, Words and Music: Diane Warren, on Monday, April 28, 2025 at 7:00 p.m. in Stern Auditorium / Perelman Stage at Carnegie Hall. Additional guest artists to be announced.

Astoria, New York (February 18, 2025) — In the latest and final installation series presented in partnership with the Tezos Foundation, Museum of the Moving Image announces Compositions in Code: The Art of Processing and p5.js, to be presented from March 6 through August 24 on its Herbert S. Schlosser Media Wall. The featured artists all used the accessible, open-source programming environment Processing or the p5.js library as tools in the creation of their work. Each artist will make a fragment of the exhibited work available for the public to collect for free onsite and online via the Tezos blockchain.

Led by Music Director and Conductor Steven Reineke, the concert features iconic selections from movies including King Kong, Psycho, Star Trek, Jurassic Park, The Avengers, and many more.

New York, NY – Frog & Peach Theatre Co. is thrilled to present Taming of the Shrew, starring Amy Frances Quint as the fiery Katharina and Dazmann Still as her brazen suitor, Petruchio. The production will run from February 28 – March 23 at The Cullum Theatre at the American Theatre for Actors (314 W 54th St, NYC).

The event is spearheaded by award-winning musician and broadcaster, Gary Innes, the visionary behind Hoolie in the Hydro – Scotland's biggest night of traditional music, which has attracted nearly 20,000 people in the past two years to Glasgow’s OVO Hydro arena.

Neighborhood-Wide Video Art Series, Projected onto the BQE And Bridges of Dumbo

Series is Brooklyn’s Most Expansive Video Art Series Ever, With Three Exhibits Between March 5 to May 25, 2025 

Projections are Viewable Wednesday through Sunday from Dusk to 11pm

Dumbo, Brooklyn (February 11, 2025) – The Dumbo Projection Project — Brooklyn’s largest-scale projection series ever — will return for its second year with a neighborhood-wide, outdoor video art exhibition projected onto Dumbo's most iconic infrastructure, the Manhattan Bridge on both the Pearl Street and Adams Street sides, and along the BQE in Susan Smith McKinney Steward Park. Presented by the Dumbo Improvement District, projections will run on Wednesdays through Sundays from dusk to 11pm from March 5 to May 25, 2025. This year’s projections will include three new volumes of projected video art, curated by Dumbo-based cultural organizations, which will each run for four weeks, appropriately set in Dumbo, Brooklyn’s longest-established arts district. …
