Ticonderoga, NY - February 6, 2017 - The Ticonderoga Montcalm Street Partnership (TMSP) Promotions Committee in coordination with the Ticonderoga Area Chamber of Commerce and Silver Bay YMCA Teen Center, as well as local businesses and organization are pleased to announce they will host the Third Annual Ticonderoga End of Winter Carnival on Saturday, March 4th from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM at the Ticonderoga Armory and Ticonderoga Recreational Areas. The carnival will offer a variety of games, indoor and outdoor activities, carnival food, and fun for all ages.

Town Registration Fees Waived for All Snowmobilers This Weekend


Governor Andrew M. Cuomo today reminded out-of-state and Canadian snowmobile enthusiasts that this weekend is New York's annual Free Snowmobiling Weekend. Beginning today and through Sunday, state registration fees will be waived for properly registered and insured out-of-state snowmobilers wishing to explore New York's 10,500 miles of trails.

The "Official Home of Winter" Celebrates Groundhog Day

Syracuse, N.Y. -- Cheers erupted from the Visit Syracuse team and the city's newest resident, Winter, as Punxsutawney Phil emerged from his burrow today to the sight of his shadow. The organization will seek to collect food items for those community members in need, as well as art supplies to nourish the spirits of children and adults alike.

Annual Free Snowmobiling Weekend Scheduled for February 3-5

Governor Andrew M. Cuomo today unveiled a new marketing campaign designed to increase visitors and generate interest in New York State's top winter tourism attractions and destinations. The winter marketing campaign, which will include two new television advertisements, will run in media markets throughout the Northeast and promote New York as a world-class winter destination. The Governor also announced New York State's annual Free Snowmobiling Weekend for all out-of-state and Canadian snowmobilers, will run from Friday, February 3, through Sunday, February 5, 2017.
