Santa SkiAdirondacks, USA (November 6, 2026) – Towns and villages throughout the Adirondacks are preparing to celebrate the holiday season with multi-day events planned throughout November and December. Holiday strolls, local shopping events, festive entertainment, and family activities offer residents and visitors opportunities to experience Adirondack traditions while supporting local communities, businesses, and artisans.

Regional Office of Sustainable Tourism (ROOST) Chief Operating Officer Mary Jane Lawrence said the events reflect community spirit found throughout the Adirondacks. “These holiday celebrations reflect the strong sense of community that makes the Adirondacks so special,” Lawrence said. “They bring neighbors together, welcome visitors into our towns and villages, and create opportunities for people of all ages to share in the traditions and experiences that make this season fun and memorable.”

Holiday celebrations feature activities for a variety of interests and ages, including live music, artisan and vendor displays, raffles, tree lightings, children’s activities, wreath-making demonstrations, parades, fireworks, and appearances by Santa and Mrs. Claus. Many events combine these seasonal activities with opportunities to shop and dine locally, making it easy to spend a day or weekend exploring an Adirondack community.

Holiday celebrations throughout the region offer opportunities to experience the Adirondacks at their most festive, with local shopping, seasonal activities, and traditions that bring communities together. “The holiday season is an excellent time to explore our Adirondack communities,” Lawrence said. “Our local businesses and event organizers go above and beyond to create memorable experiences for everyone. These events bring people together, support local businesses, and give visitors a chance to experience the Adirondacks in a special way.”
