Show Will Feature the Thunderbirds, WWII Bomber, and Parachutists
Orange County, NY – County Executive Neuhaus and the PickOCNY Team announce that the New York Air Show will soar over Orange County Airport on Aug. 1st and 2nd, bringing one of summer’s most thrilling spectacles back to the Hudson Valley. As one of eight stops on the national Air Dot Show tour, the event highlights not only Orange County’s convenient location just 50 miles north of New York City, but also the opportunity for attendees to visit some of the other wonderful attractions in the County, including Woodbury Common Premium Outlets, the United States Military Academy at West Point, and the many breweries, cideries, and quaint downtown shopping areas.
The action-packed weekend will feature the speed, precision, and power of modern military aviation, legendary aircraft icons, and award-winning parachutists, including the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds, the World War II B-25J Mitchell bomber Panchito and the West Point Parachute Team.
“The New York Air Show is an Orange County summer tradition that is eagerly anticipated by aviation and military enthusiasts in our County and throughout the region,” said Orange County Executive Steve Neuhaus. “It brings folks together, and, this year, it’s a great way to celebrate our nation’s 250th birthday.
