Staatsburgh, N.Y. (06/17/26) – Revel in the sounds of a Gilded Age summer on the grand portico of Staatsburgh State Historic Site, the country home of Ruth and Ogden Mills. The music series, sponsored by The Friends of Mills at Staatsburgh, will be held on June 27 (rain date of June 28), July 18 (no rain date), and August 8 (rain date of August 9) and is free to the public. Each concert is one-hour in length and starts at 4:00PM. Come early to visit the gift shop, tour the mansion by reservation, and enjoy a picnic or hike as you take in the splendid views of the Hudson from Mills Memorial State Park. Seating on the portico is on a first-come basis and is accessible. Guests are also welcome to bring a blanket or chair for lawn seating – no reservations required. On June 27, Bennett Harris Ragtime Blues Acoustic Guitar Duo performs ragtime tunes that were popularized during the Gilded Age. On July 18, celebrate our country’s 250th birthday with patriotic music performed by the Hyde Park Chamber Ensemble’s Woodwind Quintet. On August 8, international chanteuse, Elaine Rachlin, evokes the Gilded Age’s penchant for European, and French culture, with her repertoire of songs sung in their original language.

Staatsburgh’s 79-room mansion overlooking the Hudson River is in the hamlet of Staatsburg, between Hyde Park and Rhinebeck. The historic estate grounds surrounding the mansion, now Ogden Mills & Ruth Livingston Mills Memorial State Park, offer scenic walking paths as well as woodland trails.
