Four Sundays of oysters, live music, tastings, seasonal cocktails and waterfront views in Tarrytown

Tarrytown, N.Y. — This October, The Sailhouse will bring a new fall tradition to the Hudson River with Sailhouse Oyster Fest, taking place every Sunday in October from noon to 6 p.m. 

Set along the Hudson River with views of the Governor Mario M. Cuomo Bridge, Oyster Fest will bring together fresh oysters, seasonal food and cocktails, live entertainment and the waterfront atmosphere that has made The Sailhouse a destination in Westchester.

Oyster Fest Sundays will take place Oct. 4, 11, 18 and 25, from noon to 6 p.m.

Each Sunday will feature live music, oyster selections and specials, seasonal cocktails, beer and wine tastings, oyster slurp-off contests, and additional food offerings from The Sailhouse. Guests can also look forward to special appearances by the Headless Horseman and PaddlePub cruises departing from The Sailhouse marina, bringing even more of the Hudson River and Sleepy Hollow experience to the waterfront.

The music will evolve throughout the afternoon, creating a relaxed waterfront atmosphere earlier in the day before building in energy as the afternoon continues.

The series arrives during one of the most popular times of year to visit Tarrytown and neighboring Sleepy Hollow, when visitors come to the area for fall foliage, historic attractions and the region’s renowned Halloween season.

Rather than recreating a traditional fall or Halloween festival, The Sailhouse is putting its own waterfront spin on the season.

“We wanted to create something that still feels completely like The Sailhouse, just with a fall twist,” said Colleen Cingel, co-founder and principal partner of The Sailhouse. “October is such an incredible time to visit Tarrytown and Sleepy Hollow. Oyster Fest gives people another reason to spend the day here — oysters, cocktails, live music and fall afternoons overlooking the Hudson.”

The Tiki Bar and stage area will serve as the center of Oyster Fest, with casual seating available on a first-come, first-served basis. Guests looking for a full dining experience can also make reservations at The Sailhouse before making their way to the waterfront and stage area to enjoy the festivities.

Admission to Oyster Fest is free, with food and beverages available for purchase.
