Walk with the History of Wales & the Quoit Board Game at the Slate Valley Museum

Granville, NY – The Slate Valley Museum will host a free trail walk program exploring the history of Wales and the game of Quoit on Tuesday, June 28 at 10am. Participants will discover the traditional game of Quoit, its origins, strategy, and how slate was historically used as a durable game board. There will also be an opportunity for a hands-on demonstration at the museum after the walk. The group will explore part of the D&H Rail Trail, with walking with brief stops for rest and discussion along the way. Flat, accessible, family-friendly trail.

The Slate Valley Museum is open Tuesday through Friday from 12-4pm and Saturday from 10am-4pm from now through October 17. The museum is located at 17 Water Street in Granville, NY.
