Julie KroneSaratoga Springs, N.Y. — Legendary jockey Julie Krone, the first woman inducted into the National Museum of Racing’s Hall of Fame, will sign autographs at the Museum on Sunday, Aug. 19 from 12:30 p.m. to 1:15 p.m. Autographs are $15 each with proceeds benefitting the Museum. Krone will be signing limited-edition prints of her groundbreaking victory aboard Colonial Affair from the 1993 Belmont Stakes. The prints will be sourced from original artwork by renowned artist Celeste Susany. The print is included with the autograph price.

NEW YORK – August 1, 2018 – Governor Andrew M. Cuomo today announced the new National Comedy Center, the first non-profit cultural institution and visitor experience dedicated to comedy, is officially open in Jamestown, Chautauqua County. The $50 million state-of-the-art museum is dedicated to telling the vital story of comedy in America, and celebrates comedy's great minds and unique voices, from Charlie Chaplin to Dave Chappelle. The National Comedy Center is presenting a weeklong celebration of comedy performances and dialogues to commemorate the grand opening, which coincides with the annual Lucille Ball Comedy Festival, featuring more than 50 events including appearances by comedy greats such as Amy Schumer, Lewis Black, Lily Tomlin, Fran Drescher, W. Kamau Bell and original "Saturday Night Live" cast members Dan Aykroyd & Laraine Newman.

NYS Brewers AssociationRochester, NY -- August 1, 2018 -- New York State Brewers Association is proud to announce the winners of the 2nd annual New York State Craft Beer Competition and Governor’s Excelsior Cup.  

The New York Craft Brewers Competition was held on Saturday, July 28, 2018 in Rochester NY.  43 expert beer judges from across the state came together to judge 642 beers from 123 New York State breweries to award gold, silver, and bronze medals to 45 breweries with the Governor’s Excelsior Cup being awarded to the Best of Show beer in the state, which was awarded for the second consecutive year to Threes Brewing in Brooklyn for their Passing Time Grisette. This competition is the largest craft beer competition in the state, and the second largest state competition in the country behind California. …

National Racing Museum and Hall of FameSaratoga Springs, N.Y. — The National Museum of Racing and Hall of Fame will present special behind-the-scenes tours of Godolphin’s famous Greentree Stable on Saturday, Aug. 18 and Tuesday, Aug. 21. The tours are from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Tours cost $15 for Museum members and $20 for non-members. Each attendee will also receive a complimentary admission pass to the Museum. The tours will be given by Godolphin’s Emma Browne and the Museum’s Cate Johnson.
