Sullivan County Partnership for Economic DevelopmentMonticello, N.Y. - (April 21, 2020) - The Sullivan County Partnership for Economic Development (“Partnership”) has announced that it has received 11 applications for its Disaster Relief Workforce Emergency Fund (“DRWEF”). The fund was established from a donation by the Louis R. Cappelli Foundation (“Cappelli Foundation”) from the remaining proceeds of the Disaster Relief Revolving Loan Fund (“DRRLF”) originally established to assist businesses that suffered from natural disasters when they were confronted with back-to-back tropical storms Irene and Sandy.  The DRRLF assisted four businesses totaling $40,000 and the businesses leveraged an additional $200,000 in ancillary investments.

Bethel, N.Y. (April 15, 2020) – Bethel Woods Center for the Arts, a nonprofit cultural center located at the historic site of the 1969 Woodstock Festival, announced today an initiative titled Growing Hope. Together with Sullivan Renaissance, a beautification and community development initiative of the Gerry Foundation, Growing Hope will provide flower-growing kits and art supplies to school students who are presently at home due to the COVID-19 outbreak. Kits will be distributed at the end of April. The community will be invited later in the season to plant a peace garden at the historic Woodstock festival site later in the year.

Bethel, NY (April 9, 2020) – Bethel Woods Center for the Arts, located in Bethel, NY at the historic site of the greatest festival of all time, is asking those who attended Woodstock over 50 years ago to join the Alumni Registry.

The Alumni Registry keeps the spirit of Woodstock alive through the stories and memories of the people who were there.  The information provided from participants near and far is added to the permanent Museum archive, where it will serve as a useful research tool for visitors and scholars as they seek to learn more about the festival and its participants. The testimonies allow visitors to enrich their understanding of the event and its continued impact.  Registry alumni will have the opportunity to receive information about special events and programs designed especially for them.

  • July 12: Bob Dylan & His Band with Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats and Hot Club of Cowtown

Bethel, NY (February 25, 2020) – Bethel Woods Center for the Arts today announced that Grammy Award-winning legendary artists Carlos Santana alongside Earth, Wind & Fire will embark on a North American tour, expected to be the hottest ticket this summer.  The tour includes a performance at the historic site on August 23rd.  A continuation of 2019’s Supernatural Now tour for Santana, the Miraculous Supernatural 2020 Tour will mark the first time that these two powerhouses will share the stage in the U.S.

Bethel, NY (February 14, 2020) – Bethel Woods’ Season of Song & Celebration – highlighting the impact of the greatest festival of all time during its 50th anniversary year – delivered unique and memorable experiences for those who journeyed to the historic site throughout 2019.  This year, the 501(c)3 nonprofit cultural arts center exceeded the three million visitor milestone since its opening in 2006.

Bethel, NY (February 7, 2020) – On April 4th, The Museum at Bethel Woods, located at the site of the 1969 Woodstock festival, will open for the 2020 season with the Special Exhibit Lights, Color, Fashion: Psychedelic Posters and Patterns of 1960s San Francisco. This exhibit showcases a phenomenal ensemble of San Francisco rock posters and fashion from the kaleidoscopic years of 1964 to 1972, gathered by collector Gary Westford.
