Saratoga TourismFestival includes 2nd national chip competition to crown chip champs

The Big Idaho® Potato Truck to also make an appearance

Saratoga Springs, N.Y. - The 2nd annual Chip Festival will take place on Saturday, July 15, 2017 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Saratoga Springs City Center, located in Saratoga Springs, NY. The event’s Presenting Sponsor for the 2017 festival is Wise Snack Foods. The festival, hosted by The Saratoga Springs Lions Club, will feature sampling and purchasing booths with chips of all kinds, plus salsas, pretzels, popcorn and other snacks. Additionally, the festival will hold its 2nd annual competition in a variety of categories for chips as well as dips and salsas. The Big Idaho® Potato Truck will also be appearing at the festival as part of its national tour. The price for general admission is $5, and children 12 and under are free.

Governor Andrew M. Cuomo today announced a new partnership between Watkins Glen International and I LOVE NEW YORK, the state’s iconic tourism brand. Together, they will present The Glen’s Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series race – the I LOVE NEW YORK 355 – on Sunday, August 6. The race is the marquee event of the August 3-6 race weekend at Watkins Glen International. It is the only Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series race in New York State, and one of two road course races on the Cup Series schedule. Previously run as the Cheez-It 355 at The Glen, the “355” denotes the distance of the race – 90 laps for 220.5 miles – in kilometers.

Civil War Reenactment Weekend at Robert Moses State ParkMassena, N.Y.  – Yanks and Johnny Rebs will be at it again during the St. Lawrence County Historical Association’s annual Civil War Reenactment Weekend at Robert Moses State Park, Massena.  The sights and sounds of the Civil War will fill the air at the 16th annual Civil War Reenactment Saturday and Sunday July 29-30. Glens Falls, N.Y. Big Babies will be performed as part of Adirondack Theatre Festival’s new play reading series. The readings will take place at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 5, and Thursday, July 6, in the cabaret space of the Charles R. Wood Theater.
