 Restoration of Adjacent Historic Saranac Lake Depot to Bolster North Country Economy 

Governor Kathy Hochul today announced $13.1 million to support the ongoing construction of the Adirondack Rail Trail, a 34-mile, multi-use recreational corridor for outdoor adventurers between Tupper Lake and Lake Placid, and the restoration of the Saranac Lake Depot. Funding from the 2022 Clean Water, Clean Air and Green Jobs Environmental Bond Act will aid the ongoing transformation of a former railbed into a world-class shared-use path and the former depot for use as a regional education, interpretation, and economic asset. Orange County Tourism23% increase crushes previous annual records and inspires dynamic experiences for more visitors

Orange County, N.Y. (Jan. 9, 2024) – The Orange County Tourism website, orangetourism.org, drew record-breaking traffic over the past year, surpassing 1 million annual visits for the first time.

The surge of website visits represented a 23% increase over 2022’s visits, which set the previous record. The increase was powered by a combination of Orange County’s many assets, County Executive Steven Neuhaus' Four Seasons Campaign to promote year-round tourism and marketing strategies from the Tourism Department.

Sullivan County DoveFerndale, NY (January 8, 2024) - The Sullivan Catskills Visitors Association (SCVA) is thrilled to announce the addition of a new dove sculpture to its popular Dove Art Trail. With this unveiling, the trail will now feature over 70 unique dove sculptures, each hand-painted by a professional local artist.

The Dove Art Trail was first launched in 2019 as part of SCVA's effort to commemorate the 50th Anniversary of Woodstock.
