* Media release from Rally North America to follow on July 3 - the following outlines the rally event.

  • The Sunshine Rally is a scavenger hunt-style rally.
  • Random checkpoints and clues are given each morning, with multiple scavenger hunt locations.
  • The competition starts long before the rally - each team raises funds directly for Camp Sunshine. The team responsible for the most donations will hold pole position for the rally, with other teams positioned in descending order of funds raised.
  • Each day, the teams will receive route cards, outlining clues that describe a location to visit or a task to be performed. Each location/task completed will carry a point value.
  • Teams must arrive at the finish on or before a specific time; with awards for the top 3 daily finishers; other awards include: best costume, hard luck, longest distance to the start, and the coveted spirit of the rally.
  • This is not a race. Teams that are observed driving recklessly or that receive a ticket from law enforcement are disqualified from receiving awards.
  • The event is filmed and will air on MavTV.
  • Teams are responsible for their hotel costs, fuel, scavenger hunt attraction fees, and meals throughout the event.
