Families and kids are invited to explore the science behind this heavenly body at a free lunar lecture and moon viewing evening at Yonkers Riverfront Library on July 9 at 5:00 p.m.

NEW YORK – June 26, 2019 – The construction of the new Frontier Town Campground, Equestrian and Day Use Area in the Adirondacks was completed today. The new public campground, on the site of the former Frontier Town theme park in the town of North Hudson, is a signature piece of the Governor's "Gateway to the Adirondacks" tourism hub. To date, an estimated total of $25 million in public/private resources has been committed to the project.

NEW YORK – June 20, 2019 – Governor Andrew M. Cuomo today announced the opening of the $3 million Dutchess Welcome Center at the eastern approach to Walkway Over the Hudson State Historic Park. The multipurpose facility creates a new welcoming gateway in time for the Hudson Valley tourism destination's 10th anniversary. Governor Cuomo announced the next phase of improvements will include a new pavilion and expanded gathering space at the Poughkeepsie entrance.

Waterford, N.Y. (June 12, 2019) - Get ready for the ride of a lifetime! From July 1-10, John Robinson, CEO of Our Ability, Inc, will complete his 7th Journey Along the Erie Canal. A congenital amputee born without full arms and legs, Robinson will use a handcycle to ride all 360 miles from Buffalo to Albany to raise awareness of the needs of people with disabilities. Along the way, he and his team are inviting people with disabilities and their families and friends to join them for the 1st Mile Challenge, as part of the Canalway Challenge.

Adirondack Theatre - 25 YearsGlens Falls, N.Y. – Producing Artistic Director, Chad Rabinovitz, announces Adirondack Theatre Festival’s PB&J Café: A Dinner Theatre for Kids will present Alice In Wonderland as part of the 2019 line-up. NEW YORK – June 6, 2019 – Governor Andrew M. Cuomo today announced the opening of the LGBTQ Pride Month exhibit entitled "Equality Will Never Be Silent," which celebrates the New York State LGBTQ community and recognizes the meaningful political, cultural and artistic impacts of 16 LGBTQ New Yorkers. The exhibit is located in the Governor's Reception Room on the second floor of the New York State Capitol and will run through the summer. Additionally, the Governor announced that the LGBTQ pride flag will be raised over the state capitol for the first time in New York State history.
