On June 21st from 4:30-7:30pm, Zena Verda Pesta will present a special display of her vessels and containers in a unique dinner picnic experience outside Lapham Gallery in City Park, cost is $100 person. To register for either of these events, please call LARAC at 518-798-1144 x2 or stop by Lapham Gallery.
Susan Hoffer’s dynamic figurative oil paintings are full of texture, detail, and nuance as she explores rural identity and how people relate to their environment, society, and circumstance. Her work is widely recognized, receiving numerous prizes and awards with solo exhibitions throughout New York State. Susan’s work is included in the permanent collections of the Albany Institute of History and Art and the Adirondack Experience Museum.
Zena Verda Pesta creates wildly decorative vessels and containers, layering shapes, textures, variety of glazing materials and gold accents, primarily using dark earthenware clay. She juxtaposes the functionality and utility of the object with the ornate decoration to evoke a response from the viewer/user of the pieces she creates. Zena’s work has been exhibited nationally and internationally and her career in craft, design, and teaching has taken her all over the world.
Located at 7 Lapham Place in downtown Glens Falls, NY, LARAC’s Lapham Gallery is open Monday-Saturday 10am-3pm, Thursdays to 6pm. To learn more, visit www.larac.org.
